Chapter VII. That good work should follow knowledge

The Apostle Paul says that the letter kills whereas the spirit brings back life (2 Cor. 3:6)

Those who have died by the ‘letter’ died because they only wanted to know what the ‘words’, mean so that others might think them wiser than others and reward them for this ‘knowledge‘ so that they might leave both friends and relatives a large inheritance.
Those Religious who have died by the ‘letter’, died because they would not follow the spirit of the Scriptures, preferring only to know the meaning of the ‘words’ and to interpret them to others.
Those who are made alive by the spirit of the Scriptures do not interpret them literally or materially; rather by word and example return them to God from whom comes all good.

Deeds not words are medicine for the sick of soul, the Scriptures say that God is Love and this love makes itself known when those who read the Scriptures put them into action.
